Community Drumming Circle for Earth Day 2025

  • The Friendship Community Center 201 W Broadway Street Suttons Bay, MI (map)

Celebrate and honor the Earth with communal rhythm-making.

Join in with your own heartbeat through the timeless tradition of making rhythms with other people.

This is an open jam rhythm circle suitable for anyone, no experience needed. Choose from a variety of hand drums and simple percussion instruments provided, or bring your own.

I will provide simple suggestions to guide the group towards harmonious rhythms.

The goal is to have fun and feel the innate human connection that forms when making joyful sounds together, even from the simplest of objects. This is an excellent form of energizing relaxation with absolutely zero performance pressure. I hope that attendees leave feeling that they too can contribute to the whole of a community, even with the smallest of parts.

Come as you are. Bring a friend, bring your family (kids are welcome for as long as they can remain engaged with the group). Come for some or all of the time.

This is a great way to “try out” a drumming/ rhythm circle.
